John Part 1

John 1:5

The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.

John 3:6

Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit.

John 3:8

The wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear its sound, but you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit.”

John 3:11-12

Very truly I tell you, we speak of what we know, and we testify to what we have seen, but still you people do not accept our testimony. I have spoken to you of earthly things and you do not believe; how then will you believe if I speak of heavenly things

John 3:19

This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but people loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil.

John 6:35

Then Jesus declared, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.

John 7:15

The Jews there were amazed and asked, “How did this man get such learning without having been taught?”

John 7:16-17

Jesus answered, “My teaching is not my own. It comes from the one who sent me. Anyone who chooses to do the will of God will find out whether my teaching comes from God or whether I speak on my own.

John 7:18

Whoever speaks on their own does so to gain personal glory, but he who seeks the glory of the one who sent him is a man of truth; there is nothing false about him.

John 7:24

Stop judging by mere appearances, but instead judge correctly.”

John 8:43-44

Why is my language not clear to you? 

Because you are unable to hear what I say. 

You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father’s desires. 

He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. 

When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies.

John 8:47

Whoever belongs to God hears what God says. 

The reason you do not hear is that you do not belong to God.”

John 10:25-26

Jesus answered, “I did tell you, but you do not believe. The works I do in my Father’s name testify about me, but you do not believe because you are not my sheep.
