Joel 2 1-2

Joel 2:1-2

An Army of Locusts

Blow the trumpet in Zion;
sound the alarm on my holy hill.

Let all who live in the land tremble,
for the day of the Lord is coming.
It is close at hand—
a day of darkness and gloom,
a day of clouds and blackness...

One of the commentaries I read on this said something to the effect of,
sadness and gloom, to the point of blocking the sun from the sky.

There is plenty written on here about Joel 2.

Im not gonna rehash it all.

But:

for the day of the Lord is coming.
It is close at hand—
a day of darkness and gloom,
a day of clouds and blackness...

You're watching it happen.

But why Drew?

Course correction.
Man thought he was God again.

Opps.
Wrong move.

Psalm 115:2-8

Why do the nations say,
“Where is their God?”
Our God is in heaven;
he does whatever pleases him.
But their idols are silver and gold,
made by human hands.
They have mouths, but cannot speak,
eyes, but cannot see.
They have ears, but cannot hear,
noses, but cannot smell.
They have hands, but cannot feel,
feet, but cannot walk,
nor can they utter a sound with their throats.

Those who make them will be like them,
and so will all who trust in them.

So what can we do?

"Dag gone Drew?

Joel two?
Verses 1-11?

It's all "alarm, tremble, darkness, clouds, gloom, blackness, mighty armies like never before, fires blazing, day of the Lord, desert waste, no escape, cavalry, horses, chariots, supernatural abilities, nations in anguish, pale faces all around, warriors, soldiers, marching, keeping in ranks, taking the city, running along the walls, entering like thieves through the windows, the earth shakes, the mountains tremble, the sun and moon are darkened, the stars no longer shine, the Lord thunders at the front of his army, forces beyond number, mighty is this army that obeys his command, it's dreadful, who can endure it?

Just on and on and on.
What are we suppose to do?
Well?

I'll tell ya.

Joel 2 12-17

“Even now,” declares the Lord,
“return to me with all your heart,
with fasting and weeping and mourning.”"

That was close to two and a half years ago.

I've been saying people should repent and turn back to the lord their God for years.

Ready for this moment Lucy.

Do people really think?
The fact that entertainment,
travel and leisure industries got shut down so quickly is an accident?
That economies are under attack?
I sure don't.

Somebody is showing you whos in charge.
Guess what?
It aint us.

Someone I know love respect and trust put it this way,
we are being gifts,
gifts of humility, of solitude and the gift of time.
Everybodys is about to have some time,
To figure out whats important to them.

Psalm 46:10

He says, “Be still, and know that I am God;
I will be exalted among the nations,
I will be exalted in the earth.”

I wrote on here I was a watchman.
A watchman sounds the alarm.
No matter how bad the news.
Well, here goes.

The worst is coming.

The Spanish flu was worse the second time around.
It had compromised immune systems the first time around.
Everybody felt a sense of relief.
Then let their guard down.
The people in the know are already talking bout possible resurgence in the fall and it hasn't even peaked here yet..

Just wait till the economic effects start to take hold.
The too big to fail banks start failing.
Regional skirmishes flare up into full blown conflicts etc.

True Christians?
Those who honestly believe in the supernatural atoning blood of Christ shed for their sins
and the true church?

Saved.
Spared.

The book is being proved true right in front of your eyes.

Id start believing it I was you.

I love you honey.
God bless you baby.
