A

friend of mine asked me a lil why back,
"Why do people care so much about what happens in this world if it's all meaningless?"

Well?
Because they're people.
It's meaningless when compared to eternity.
This life isn't even the blink of an eye compared with eternity.

So why does it matter?
Well?
I almost hate to say it but that quote from "The Gladiator" rings true.

"What we do here echos in eternity."

I think about the trusses and the arches on that covered bridge.
Over 150 years old.

Most things of this earth just don't last.
They just don't.

100 years from now no one is going to remember us or what we did.
Even if we were to be memorialized in some way, it too could and probably will fall by the wayside someday.

Best to plan for eternity if you asked me.
