I got nothing against being prepared.
God gave ya a brain for a reason honey says.
I like where we live now
probably more so than I have ever liked living
anywhere else I ever have.
Ive moved about 20 times in my life,
so thats kinda saying a lot.
We have access to fresh water,
we have a wood burning stove
and plenty of wood around.
There are three things you will need the most:
Heat source for warmth and cooking,
fresh water, and food.
So we got two of the three most important things covered.
I haven't ever been much of a outdoorsman
but I'm sure if faced with hunger
we would be able to fish, hunt, garden etc
and rabbits, deer and turkey etc
are all plentiful.
But my faith isn't in my ability
to survive duress for long periods of time.
(although I feel as though that's been proven)
My faith is in the one
that led me here to start with,
and no thats not honey lol.
God has brought us to this point,
so my faith has been,
is, and will always be
in him alone.
If your faith is in your own ability
to procurer provisions for yourself
and to endure hardship,
and not in the one
who allowed for you
to procurer the provisions
you have accumulated?
Your in for a shock.
Big time.
If God wants to drive you to your knees?
Everything you ever stored up for yourself
could be gone in an instant.
Every plan you ever made, gone in a flash.
Fire, tornado, hail, hurricane, earthquake, flood,
biker gangs knowing what you got
stored up for yourselves etc.
It aint about being prepared
and surviving physically
cause this is what you will face
without faith in your creator to sustain you
Revelation 9:6
And in those days shall men seek death,
and shall not find it; and shall desire to die,
and death shall flee from them.
It is about
submitting yourself
to the owner
of your soul:
Ezekiel 18:4
Behold, all souls are mine;
as the soul of the father,
so also the soul of the son is mine:
the soul that sinneth, it shall die.
Or face an eternity without chance
of any type of reconciliation with him.
EVER.
(Otherwise known as hell.)
And he will do whatever he has to do to get you to submit
to him. Cause it sure beats the alternative, and you may not think so, but he sure does.
Id go with infinite wisdom on this one yawl.
Some people are gonna get
the absolute shock of their lives.
Notice I didn't say probably.
Proverbs 16:9
A man's heart deviseth his way:
but the Lord directeth his steps.
(Translation:
Make all the plans you want,
it is God alone that will determine
how things work out.)
Luke 12:13-21
The Parable of the Rich Fool
Someone in the crowd said to him,
“Teacher, tell my brother to divide the inheritance with me.”
14 Jesus replied, “Man, who appointed me a judge or an arbiter between you?” 15 Then he said to them, “Watch out! Be on your guard against all kinds of greed; life does not consist in an abundance of possessions.”
16 And he told them this parable: “The ground of a certain rich man yielded an abundant harvest. 17 He thought to himself, ‘What shall I do? I have no place to store my crops.’
18 “Then he said, ‘This is what I’ll do. I will tear down my barns and build bigger ones, and there I will store my surplus grain. 19 And I’ll say to myself, “You have plenty of grain laid up for many years. Take life easy; eat, drink and be merry.”’
20 “But God said to him, ‘You fool! This very night your life will be demanded from you. Then who will get what you have prepared for yourself?’
21
“This is how
it will be
with whoever stores up
things for themselves
BUT
is not rich toward God.”
Notice that last verse
isnt qualified in any sense.
It doesn't say:
"It's okay to do so during famine, or emergency, or times of hardship, or disaster etc, just:
“This is
how it will be
with whoever stores up
things for themselves
but is not rich toward God.”
So make all the plans you want.
He has already told you
how that all works out.
Equal opportunity offender.
Get over it already.
