You dont need em to talk to him, on your knees will do just fine and if you cant find your way there? He just might help you find that way.

The only thing thats talking? Is the chemical(s), to you brain "produce(ing) altered states of consciousness", nothing more.

Dont you have to believe there is such an entity (God) in order to be able to talk to him?

I noticed it was "God" that was being talked to, 

not "Gods".

And last but probably the most important

I hate to bust your buddle, 

(nah, not really) but 

there is a community 

that has believed in disembodied spirits 

for quite quite some time now.

So the question is really simple, 

and comes in two parts:

A) Where do the disembodied spirits originate from? What is their source?

Causeless effects being bad logic and all.

B) And how do you incorporate that (their source) into your comprehensive, coherent, complete, belief system, start to finish, universe creation to souls final resting place?

Cause if you cant do that?

Then who really cares?

Here's where I work them into my: 

"comprehensive, coherent, complete, belief system, start to finish, universe creation to souls final resting place" 

and its the same as it was 

yesterday today and tomorrow.

Genesis 6:1-4

6 And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them,

2 That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose.

3 And the Lord said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years.

Long story short?

There was an evil progeny created by an unholy union of angels and humans.

When the flood came?

They were largely but not completely wiped out.

(That came later when David slew Goliath.)

They werent supposed to be here.

Their spirits had no place to go until judgement.

(They are still here)

Angels are spirit beings (even fallen ones) 

and have no need for a "Habitation",

 a dwelling, a home if you will.

This explains demonic possession in Christ time,

as Satan wasn't kicked out of the heavenlies till Christ ascended.

Itt explains disembodied spirits period.

Its easily incorporated into my overriding belief system start to finish.
