"Power" and "Authority."
In the book of Revelation.
Every instance of their usage.
This is a method with which
you can use to study things with.
And after we get through every usage
(and more commentary than I thought I would do btw lol)
were gonna classify the usage of the words by the context
in which they are used.
Then, we will look at
WHO/WHAT
specifically
has Power and Authority
given to them
in the book of Revelation.

This is the second part of the chapter referencing nuclear weapons and a large cavalry, a lot see Chinas army there, as do I, but it seems like the text seems uses the numbers to show the multitude of nukes that will be flying as well. In any event, missiles have their power in their tips.

2 And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority.

Satan can only do what God allows him to do.
PERIOD.
He is a lesser being than God or his Christ.
Lesser beings (than God and his Christ) are spirits they don't get to run around in God's creation just doing whatever they decide to.
He's already locked some up, he can do it to any of them including Satan anytime he wanted to. Anybody that tells you otherwise? Simply doesn't know what they are talking about.
Not only that?
Satan was an arch angel
God and his Christ are above that
and that is witnessed by the fact
that an arch-angel,
most believe it's Michael
as they had a run in before.

But the subordinate,
to God and Christ,
and Satan's
equal in status
gets the task of putting Satan away

is the Antichrist.

"Time to change the paradigm.
40+ years of this nonsense is enough.
Fundamentalist Christianity been used and exploited for nefarious political purposes whose time is obviously about to run out.
I fully expect to make enemies.
Loose friends.
Have people disagree and argue with me.
Seems like I'm in good company if you ask me.
So anyway.
I'm thinking about all this.
I get up to head to the truck parked out by the corn field which after harvest time is now stubble.
And it's misting. Not hard, just slight drizzle.
And it's coming down at and angle and I'm walking into it, the wind, the drizzling mist, etc, to get to the truck to get home.
And out of nowhere the lyrics:

They hated the prophets of old as well BTW.
Isaiah 30:9-10
9 That this is a rebellious people, lying children, children that will not hear the law of the Lord:

Guess what?
The prophets of old didn't care what the people thought
about what they were doing/saying/writing.
They KNEW they were doing what God wanted them to do.

Now lets try and categorize in what context we see the words power and authority used in. And your classification system may be a lil different than mine and thats perfectly fine but here is mine:
I.) Describing Gods power:

2 Peter 2:10
Such punishment is specially reserved for those who indulge the corrupt desires of the flesh and despise authority. Bold and self-willed, they are unafraid to slander glorious beings.
Jude 1:8
Yet in the same way these dreamers defile their bodies, reject authority, and slander glorious beings.
"Glorious beings" is only used twice in the New Testament, both instances seemingly referring to the same set of individuals, both references in two separate books, both near the end of the book.
My contention is that these "glorious beings", are the two witnesses, a sort of quasi-supernatural cross between a angel and a human on the earth in the end times.
Why do I believe that? Because by Gods unmerited favor (Grace) they are simply untouchable during the time they are prophesying:
Revelation 11:5
5 And if any man will hurt them, fire proceedeth out of their mouth, and devoureth their enemies: and if any man will hurt them, he must in this manner be killed.
Revelation 11:7
7 And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill them.
This ship has to be righted, it is way off course for his return.)

False prophet
2 And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority.
(The only power Satan (the dragon) has to give is what God gave him to use for his own purposes. Reference Matthew 28:18 again if needed.)
