Venting time

 Saw a few things

in the past few days

kinda got me thinking a

bout some things

One was a guy preaching on:

1 Thessalonians 4:11-12

11 and to make it your ambition to lead a quiet life:

You should mind your own business and work with your hands, just as we told you, 12 so that your daily life may win the respect of outsiders and so that you will not be dependent on anybody.

He didn't go on to verse 12

but was pondering

if we (Christians)

were chasing too large of a crowd?

And Jesus never chased after anybody etc...

(Lots left after being instructed to drink my blood

eat my body

Couple of things jumped in my head right away:

1)

Ecclesiastes 3

A Time for Everything

3 There is a time for everything,

and a season for every activity

under the heavens:

IF THERE WAS EVER A TIME TO NOT BE QUIET? ITS RIGHT NOW, THE TIMES WE ARE LIVING IN TODAY.

And as far as chasing after larger and larger crowds?

NO!

Christ didnt and neither should we.

But if they come?

Let em.

This is the last chance to catch

the freedom train yall,

better get on board.

("I gotta catch a train

'cause there is no other station

somebody sang once :-).

You already know who).

This dispensation?

(If you would accept such a thing)

requires a great deal more

tolerance and acceptance,

than the universal church

has ever shown before.

WHY?

Because its the last chance.

SO?

Dont chase crowds,

agreed

BUT?

:-).

You knew it was coming right :-)?

Lets do like it says in

Isaiah 54:1

"Enlarge the place of your tent,

stretch your tent curtains wide,

do not hold back;

lengthen your cords,

strengthen your stakes.

For you will spread out

to the right and to the left;

your descendants will dispossess nations

and settle in their desolate cities.

Sure, lets let our actions speak for us,

and not chase after those

who wish is so obviously

not to be caught

(such is their right)

but to those who are receptive?

WIDEN THE TENT.
ITS DIFFERENT

WHEN ITS THE LAST TIME AROUND.

The other thing that struck a cord with me was this,

(posted on social media of course)

"God wont do anything until you repent,"

On the surface?

Most Christians I know would go right along with that. Me? I got a big problem with it and it goes like this:

WHO ARE WE

TO TELL THE ALL KNOWING

ALL POWERFUL

EVER PRESENT EVERYWHERE ALMIGHTY GOD

WHAT HE CAN DO WITH WHO?

WHAT GIVES YOU THE RIGHT

TO BE SO ARROGANT

AS TO TELL GOD WHAT HE CAN DO?

Now, that being said

do I want to be an unrepentant sinner?

and just hope God just chooses to use me?

NO.

But this making hogwash (:-) of making what God can do

DEPENDANT

 on what we do first

is the height of arrogance

and shows a

lack of KNOWLEDGE

about how the almighty works

as far as I am concerned.

GOD WILL USE WHO HE CHOOSES
WHEN HE CHOOSES

FOR WHAT HE CHOOSES
AND WE DONT GET A SAY IN IT.

PERIOD.

END OF STORY.

INFINATE WISDOM

DOESNT WORK

LIKE YOUR BRAIN

THINKS IT SHOULD.

Isaiah 55:9

For as the heavens are higher than the earth,

so are my ways higher than your ways,

and my thoughts than your thoughts.

WE DONT GET TO PUT

CONDITIONS ON GOD.

Ill tell you this much,

if an unrepentant sinner is used by God?

Their chances of staying unrepentant?

Drastically decreases.

Believe that.

Anyway

just my two cents

on some things

I ran across the past few days.
