Well

no kidding.

Thanks for the heads up.

Central banks need to put rates into the ‘pain zone’ — but the Fed won’t do it, fund manager says

"Still, Ellis said he doubted that even the Fed would have the conviction to move aggressively enough this year — especially as headline inflation figures show signs of tapering off and U.S. midterm elections approach in November.

The likelihood that the Fed will move really aggressively during the course of this year to push rates up high enough that it causes the pain this year, I personally really doubt,” he said.

"U.S. consumer prices rose 8.5% in March to hit their highest level in three decades, but a slight ebb in core inflation offered some hope that inflation may be nearing its peak. Ellis suggested it could drop to 5-6% by the end of the year.

(Based on what? Continued lockdowns in China? Continued conflict in Ukraine? Where exactly is the "hope that inflation may be nearing its peak"? " "A slight ebb in core inflation"? Really? This is what were gonna put ALL of our hope in? I look like a CEO for "the world's largest publicly traded hedge fund company, reporting $117.7 billion in funds under management as of December 2019." Man Group)

What that means is the inflation goes on for longer, which means the end pain is greater,” he continued.'

Well no kidding, the fact of the matter is what somebody was saying a few months ago. 2.5% interest rates crash the housing market and at 4.5% we default on the INTEREST payment on the national debt.

The fed simply can not raise rates in the manner that they need to. Their hands are tied, we have boxed ourselves into a corner for the last time.

What they want you to believe is The Fed will do what lil it can, for as long as it can, in the HOPE that things will eventually fix themselves...Or? The Fed will do as lil as they can for as long as they can so that corporate profits can stay as high as they are for as long as they can, take your pick. I know which one I'd go with if I was you.

Rearranging deck chairs on the Titanic I remember reading somewhere...and very few even realize we are on that ocean liner voyage RN.

U.S. companies post their biggest profit growth in decades by jacking up prices during the pandemic

People are in for such a rude awakening...they really are...how people can put their heads in the sand and not see what is so obviously on the horizon is simply beyond me...

I'm gonna do my part to inform people. Its part of the commission.

I love you honey :-).
