Some things worth remembering.

Lebanon’s militant Hezbollah leader

threatens escalation with Israel

as its war with Hamas rages on

"The United States, Israel’s strongest backer, has warned Hezbollah and its patron Iran against entering the fray and has sent warships to the Mediterranean, a move Nasrallah said “will not scare us.”"

(Our forward force projection

doesn't deter our adversaries like it used to.

I wonder why?)

"Israel considers the Iran-backed Lebanese Shiite militant group its most serious immediate threat,

estimating that Hezbollah has around 150,000 rockets and missiles aimed at Israel,

as well as drones and

surface-to-air

and surface-to-sea missiles."

(Between Hezbollah?

The Houthis 1000 miles away"

and Hamas still?

Israeli air defense can be overwhelmed.

Hezbollah could do it by itself actually.

Hezbollah Introduces New Missiles Into Conflict With Israel

"Iran-backed Hezbollah is estimated to possesses more than 150,000 missiles and rockets. If a large portion of these were fired at Israel, it could overwhelm the Israeli air defense system. A growing portion of Hezbollah’s arsenal is precision-guided munitions, enabling Hezbollah to potentially strike targets in Israel more accurately and creating additional challenges for Israel and its Iron Dome system.")

Back to the original article:

"But a full-on conflict would also be costly for Hezbollah,

which fought a 34-day war with Israel in 2006

that ended with a draw

— but not before Israeli bombing reduced swaths of southern Lebanon, the eastern Bekaa Valley and Beirut’s southern suburbs to rubble."

(And now they have more advanced weaponry

and lots of it

and are battle-hardened

from the Syrian civil war.)

"A new all-out war would also displace hundreds of thousands of Hezbollah’s supporters and cause wide damage at a time when Lebanon is in the throes of a historic four-year economic meltdown."

(The economic meltdown mentioned?

is directly tied to this:

2020 Beirut explosion

Cause you know

everybody with a brain stores

3,030 short tons

of ammonium nitrate

in their countries busiest port.

What could go wrong?

Draw your own conclusions.

Just because you didn't know it?

Doesn't mean this

hasn't been brewing for a while.)
