The ride home sucked. First I was behind a cement truck on the Watterson. Then, about a mile and a half from Muldraugh Hill, all the sudden a sign that says "Break in pavement". I know what that means, sure enough lil bit later and here I am riding on grooves of concrete where they had taken off the top layer of blacktop. I'm like "Great". I'm doin 40, bikes wobbling like crazy, people are flying up beside me in the fast lane, they are right next to a concrete barricade, this is what I need happening. NOT! This continues all the way up the hill. Sign says "Bump", I'm just smiling' like "Okay, lets get ready for this now." Oh yeah, and also, this whole time, it's dark. So now we're back on blacktop on Hi way 60 West. I'm behind trucks and crap the whole way, usually not like that early in the AM. Then I get to Harrisburg, get few bucks worth of gas, pulling out and the sun is finally breaking through and I can see cloud formations and I'm like "Are you kidding me?" Straight ahead is a rain cloud, not that big but its right in the direction I'm heading. I kid you not, to the right? clear, to the left, clear, straight ahead, rain. Knew it was coming, felt the temp drop suddenly. It didn't ever rain real hard but enough so my legs from the knees down got soaked. Enough, mind you, to make it cold the rest of the way home. Nice.
