This is a good one :-). One of those that is actually fun to do :-). People just dont understand the toll it takes on a person conveying some of these sometimes. But this one? This one iS fun, great song, great friend, great lyrics, great guitar riff etc...
So?
I go visit my friend from a while back and now she just lives down the road and it's nice to have someone within walking distance who you have some past history together with, nothing romantic or intimate, more like a niece :-). She's a big music lover to so it's nice to have those conversations as well.
During a visit a while back I said you'll never guess what song I got stuck in my head rn. She just smiled, "NO I wont , what is it?" "Maybe" by Oasis. She's already smiling bout to spit out here drink lol. I said "and not the whole song either, just the intro and that high pitched nasally brit twang comes in and says "Maybe..." and then it just starts all over again from the intro" lol. We were both laughing...Song is actually called "Live Forever" which even makes it better actually lol...
Intro to the 12-14 second mark just on repeat in my brain for about a few days lol...
So
My friend smiles and says to me:
"You know,
I really try to hate Oasis,
I really do,
I really don't wanna like 'em
but I cant help it,
I just do sometimes."
Lol.
All said with the biggest smile on her face.
Thats one great thing about getting older and not being around to many people, you really stop caring what they like or bothering to think about what the crowd likes. You just like what you do and who cares if you were ever supposed to or not etc.? You give up what would have been embarrassing to you a few years earlier cause now? You really just dont care about what you are supposed to like or not any more.
So?
I go home.
I'm like well lets put on the five Oasis songs I got on the phone and lets do some dishes, a lil straightening up the homestead etc...
So I got their five songs playin on the phone and one I hardly ever listen comes on
and I'm doing dishes and I hear:

I come running to the phone :-)...

At this point I was remembering the Live Video of this and how it rocked and I was like, You know? Lets just go back to the start and play from there.
It's become a theme song of sorts here lately.
Love the "western" style guitar strap.
The snarkey nasal brit twang in the voice.
The crowds energy.
The great guitar riff.
The Lyrics.
Everything.
