People are running out of money
As the oceans go so goes life on the planet. Ocean calcification has been a part of the last four extention events the earth has suffered through. It doesn't matter if you think it's a myth, or if you think it's man made or not, the fact is it's happening.

I would say better late than never, but unfortunately? It's already to late. People who study such things and anticipate crises in other countries say that about 18 months after a populace has been "radicalized" armed conflict usually results. I told my son this right after becoming aware of it. Upper Middle class persons, educated business leaders, and small business owners buying into conspiracy theories as well as preachers of the gospel buying into down right lies are evidence of such a populace. Fanaticism has gone mainstream basically. Thrown in some untamed inflation, some pandemic fatigue and a bunch more factors? It's not hard to tell where it's all heading.
