Weaknesses of the posttribulational view of the rapture

One weakness of posttribulationism is the clear teaching of Scripture that those who are in Christ are not under condemnation and will never experience the wrath of God (Romans 8:1). While some judgments during the Tribulation specifically target the unsaved, many other judgments, such as the earthquakes, falling stars, and famines, will affect the saved and unsaved equally. Thus, if believers go through the Tribulation, they will experience the wrath of God, in contradiction of Romans 8:1.

God allows Satan to control natural phenomenon (Sometimes) to serve his purpose, so whose wrath is it really?

Job 1:18-22

While he was still speaking, yet another messenger came and said, “Your sons and daughters were feasting and drinking wine at the oldest brother’s house, when suddenly a mighty wind swept in from the desert and struck the four corners of the house. It collapsed on them and they are dead, and I am the only one who has escaped to tell you!”

At this, Job got up and tore his robe and shaved his head. Then he fell to the ground in worship and said:

Naked I came from my mother’s womb,

    and naked I will depart.

The Lord gave and the Lord has taken away;

may the name of the Lord be praised.”

In all this, Job did not sin by charging God with wrongdoing.

I wouldn't do it either if I was you.

"Posttribulationists also face a difficulty in explaining the absence of the word church in all biblical passages related to the tribulation. Even in Revelation 4 — 21, the lengthiest description of the tribulation in all of Scripture, the word church never appears. Posttribulationists must assume that the word saints in Revelation 4 — 21 means the church, although a different Greek word is used."

We face difficulty explaining the absence of the word church in all passages related to tribulation? In the words of Samuel L Jackson in Pulp Fiction:

I don't have any problem explaining it at all:

1) It's asleep during the tribulation never seeing events for what it so obviously should have.

2) It's not just asleep, it's in a coma so deep it cant be woke up.

3) The last letter John wrote to the churches was to the Apostate church (the one of our age), church had become so polluted and corrupt and so far removed from it's teachings as to become unrecognizable from what it should have been.

4) I want someone to show me one other doctrine where we apply this same standard. Just one, come show me please. Just one more doctrine where we say: "this word wasnt used here so this is what it HAS to mean." Got a feeling I'll be waiting.

All that seem like it was "difficult" for me to come up with?

"Posttribulationists must assume"

No we dont! Thanks for putting our words in our mouths.

Your logical fallacy is:

"And a final weakness of the posttribulational view is shared by the other two theories: namely, the Bible does not give an explicit time line concerning future events."

If its shared with the other two positions? You can cancel it out as a weakness, its something they all share.

Here is what the other two positions don't have that  Posttribulationists do:

Matthew 24:29-30

King James Version

Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:

And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.

I'll rest my case on the words of my lord and savior all day long.

The whole point of all this is now is the time to get your hearts right with God and accept Christ as risen lord and savior and understand the times ahead are going to be like nothing you ever imagined in your wildest dreams you would ever see, and if you cant accept it, if you cant wrap your head around it? You will end up doing just the opposite of what Job did.

You will sin and charge God with wrong doing.

It's best to accept whatever comes our way and always praise him regardless of what we are faced with.

"In all this, Job did not sin by charging God with wrongdoing."

And that is all the holes in this position they can come up with?

It might tell ya something compared to the other two positions (pre and mid tribulation).

Just maybe...

I love you baby :-).

TTYS honey.
